Confessions of Bodybuilder

Sit down. I’m about to “share.” Some of you know my little secret, but many of you don’t. After I’m done seeing clients, which is often long after sunset, I eat a fistful of protein, drink water and pump up the volume in the Fusion weights area so I can begin pumping iron. And I mean serious iron. I am a bodybuilder. Yes, sparkly bikinis, spay on tans, glistening oil, the whole nine yards. But that’s just the trimming, the Day Of fun stuff. It’s the preparation — the hours in the gym getting fitter, faster stronger, the hours figuring out the who/what/when/why of nutrition, the hours in prehab preventing injury, basically, the days, weeks and months of getting ready for Game Day — that separates us athletes from the rest of the world.
