Over 20 Years of hands-on rehabilitative and sports performance
Carolyn Mazur started Fusion Physical Therapy & Sports Performance in 2002 because she saw the need for a facility that provided serious athletes with a combination of manual rehabilitative care and an expeditious return-to-play program in the physical therapy/sports performance profession. Carolyn’s philosophy of “one-stop-shopping,” or an umbrella approach to rehab, return-to-play, and compete has become the Fusion signature.
With a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri, a Master of Arts in Physical Therapy (MPT) from Rockhurst College and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Boston University, Carolyn Mazur has over 20 years of hands-on rehabilitative and sports performance experience. As an Active Release Technique (ART) provider, Dr. Carolyn has, literally, multiple modalities at her fingertips when helping clients. Additionally, Dr. Carolyn has earned her Certificate in Athletic Training (ATC), which allows her to provide medical coverage for professional sports games as well as the assessment, treatment, and triage of athletes who are injured while playing. Recently, Dr. Carolyn received her Ignite 360 Sports Performance Certification at IMG as well as a Team USA Olympic Sports Performance certification. A medical and sports performance advisor to professional football, rugby, tennis, basketball, golf, hockey, baseball and soccer players as well as ice skaters, MMA fighters, triathletes, marathoners, cyclists, dancers and celebrities preparing for athletic movie roles, Dr. Carolyn also works with competitive amateur adult athletes as well as college (Division 1, 2 and 3) and varsity/junior varsity high school athletes, assisting with the sports’ recruitment process.
